Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Regrets Giving Rolex
Getting punched in the face by Dwayne Johnson, AKA former wrestler ‘The Rock’ might sound absolutely horrific…unless of course, he made it up to you with a custom Rolex. That was the case when he was shooting a brutal brawl with Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2002 action movie, The Scorpion King, when he caught his colleague with a hard hit to the face which sent him sprawling to the floor.
Johnson had felt so guilty that he bought him a custom-made Rolex as an apology, but once the story got out, he started noticing that others were trying to get punched by him in every fight scene he shot. Apparently everyone thinks a new Rolex is worth getting punched in the face!
“When I was in The Scorpion King I wound up hitting (him), I clocked him really hard and he went down. I felt so bad I bought him a Rolex watch. I did notice, when the story got out, that guys would lean in a little closer for a punch!” Johnson tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton.
