The Rolex Day-Date Evolution

Rolex isn’t a brand known for trend chasing, however it is always constantly evolving. While it is highly unlikely Rolex will be producing any smartwatches any time soon, the brand did introduce four new editions of its famous Oyster Perpetual Day Date model this year at Baselworld.

The changes are subtle, and the new Day-Date 40 models still stick true to their classic Rolex heritages, but you’ll notice refined lugs and middle case, and a redesigned ‘President’ bracelet. Each of the new Day-Date models are availably in Everose gold, 950 platinum, or 18K yellow or white gold.

It’s the new dials that will catch your attention. Laser-etched motifs are applied to a traditional sunray finish, creating a handsome, sophisticated appearance. There are also new dial colors including Ice Blue, Sundust, Champagne, and Silver.
